New contact wheel as a practical solution!
From now on, our protective fencing system Brühl Frame will be equipped with a contact plate as standard ex works.
Why?
In accordance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive and DIN EN ISO 14120 (Safety of machinery – Isolating protective facilities), the topic of equipotential bonding is increasingly coming into focus. The protective equipotential bonding serves to protect persons from electric shock in the event of a fault if electrically conductive parts of the machine and/or the protective fence become live unintentionally. This can occur, for example, due to damaged insulation of a cable of the machine or a mobile piece of electrical equipment.
Thanks to an integrated design solution, you do not need any additional conductive connection elements for protective equipotential bonding within the protective fence systems Frame. This has the advantage of reduced assembly time and good clarity. The protective fence is still integrated into the protective conductor system (earthing) of the machine or system via corresponding protective conductors.
